Looking for Things on Windows?
There is no Things for Windows: Cultured Code makes it for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro only. If you use it on a Mac or iPhone and spend your working day on a Windows PC, you know the gap.
We're building Everfixed Tasks, a native Windows to-do app around the same ideas: a calm Inbox, a short Today, and everything else waiting quietly until it matters. It's in development; we're aiming for a beta before the end of 2026.
What will feel familiar
- Inbox, Today with This Evening, Upcoming, Anytime, Someday and Logbook.
- Projects with headings and a progress ring, areas to group them, tags, deadlines, repeating to-dos, checklists and notes.
- Quick Entry on a global hotkey, from any app, straight to the Inbox.
- Keyboard first: jump between lists, Type Travel to any project or tag, set dates without the mouse.
- Drag to-dos onto dates and into projects; drop the Magic Plus button where a new to-do should go.
- One purchase, no subscription.
What's different
- Windows first. A real Windows app on WinUI 3, not a web page in a wrapper. Light and dark theme, tray, Windows notifications, your Outlook or Windows calendar next to your to-dos.
- No Mac or iPhone app. If you need your list on an iPhone, Everfixed Tasks isn't for you yet. On Android there is a small companion that sends links and text into your Inbox.
- No import from Things in the first version. It may come later; until then, moving over means starting a fresh list.
- Your data, your server. Everything lives on your PC and works offline. Sync through our server is included, or run your own. No Google or Microsoft account.
- No AI assistant built in. Instead, a command-line tool with JSON output and ready-made skills, so the agent you already use can read and change your to-dos.
What you can do today
Until there's a beta, these are the options people on Windows usually end up with:
- Keep Things and bridge the gap. Send tasks from the PC with Mail to Things, or add them to a list that syncs into Apple Reminders and let Things import them. It works, but you still can't see or plan your day on the PC.
- Todoist. Apps for Windows, Android, Mac and iPhone; projects and sections can stand in for areas and projects. The full feature set is a subscription.
- TickTick. Windows and Android apps, folders and lists, a calendar view. Premium is an annual subscription.
Questions
Is there an official Things app for Windows?
No. Things runs on Apple devices only, and Cultured Code hasn't announced a Windows version. Everfixed Tasks is an independent app and isn't connected to Cultured Code.
Can I move my to-dos from Things?
Not in the first version. An importer may come later; we'll tell the launch list if it does.
How much will it cost?
A one-time purchase: no monthly fee, no "Pro" tier, sync included. The early-access price goes to the launch list first.
When can I try it?
We're aiming for a beta before the end of 2026. Leave your e-mail and we'll send one message when it's ready.
